San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo was very fun. We went there to see the birds of paradise that only live in New Guinea. We saw three species. The Raggiana Bird of Paradise, the Willson's Bird of Paradise, and the Greater Lopherina.

Bird Facts:
The Raggiana (Raj-ee-ana) Bird of Paradise is the national bird of Papua New Guinea. It lives in the rainforest, and it is a common species. It looks a lot like the rarer bird, the Goldie's Bird of Paradise. It is a Paradisaea bird. The Paradisaea birds had the most popular  birds for feathers. There recovering now luckily... but their still very rare.
